At StrongerLife, strength isn’t just about muscles you can see—it’s about the ones that support you from within. That’s why we’re hosting a Pelvic Floor Workshop for members and their guests to educate, empower, and help you take control of one of the most important (and often overlooked) areas of the body.
Why the Pelvic Floor Matters
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissue that form a supportive “hammock” at the base of your pelvis. These muscles are essential for bladder and bowel control, spinal stability, posture, and even breathing mechanics. Yet over time—due to age, pregnancy, surgery, inactivity, or certain medical conditions—these muscles can weaken or become overly tense.
Common Symptoms of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
Pelvic floor issues can affect both men and women, and symptoms can show up in surprising ways, including:
Leakage when coughing, sneezing, or exercising
Frequent or urgent trips to the bathroom
Lower back or hip discomfort
Core weakness
A feeling of heaviness or pressure in the pelvic area
Pain with sexual intercourse
These issues are common—but they’re not an inevitable part of aging, and they can often be improved or reversed with proper education and targeted exercise.
What You’ll Learn
In this 60-minute workshop, a licensed Physical Therapist who specializes in treating the pelvic floor will guide participants through:
How the pelvic floor interacts with your core, spine, and posture
Simple, evidence-based strategies to improve strength, control, and coordination, making your StrongerLife workouts even more safe and effective
Easy exercises you can integrate into your daily routine
When to seek professional help and what treatment options exist
This session will include both education and practical takeaways you can use immediately—whether your goal is to improve continence, enhance stability, or simply understand your body better.
